In a city with a hot social scene like Miami, the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball is one of the "can't miss" events of the South Florida social scene. In its 19-year history, the Ball has raised more than $14.3 million for Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, enough to grant the heartfelt wishes of more than 3,000 children with critical illnesses. This year's 20th annual version of the event on Nov. 1 might be its biggest event yet.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inductee Diana Ross will be performing at this year's InterContinental Miami-Wish Ball and actress Gabrielle Anwar serves as the celebrity auctioneer. Other guests over the years have included Paula Abdul, Sharon Stone, Wayne Newton, Pamela Anderson, Mike Piazza, Scottie Pippen, Richie Rich, Christian Slater, Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons, Don King, Venus and Serena Williams, Kim Kardashian, plus many more.

Few things are more thrilling than rappelling down 38 stories of the One America Center in the heart of downtown Austin. One thing that comes to mind, though, is scaling that height for a good cause: raising money for our partner Make-A-Wish® Central and South Texas. Last year, that chapter of Make-A-Wish granted 218 wishes to deserving children; registering now to be a fundraiser for their Over the Edge event will help them in their goal of granting even more wishes this year. All the money raised by Make-A-Wish rappellers goes towards granting the wishes of these local children.
When is it even more fun to take a day off work to play hooky and hit the golf course for an afternoon of relaxation? When you could do that for a good cause!
