Great Events Riding In With Color This July

June 16, 2016

If you are looking for a fun night out in the Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia area you can drink cocktails and paint, go to a fun car show, or ride your bike in a memorial run, benefiting Make-A-Wish.

History About This Make-A-Wish Chapter

The Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia chapter has served almost 17,000 children in 57 Pennsylvania counties. They were the first chapter in the world to fulfill more than 700 wishes in one year. The most popular wish is a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Disney World is a great place to meet all of their favorite characters, 51% of them wish to meet Mickey Mouse. They are able to pay for wishes by funding. 47% of the funding comes from individuals, 38% came from corporations/foundations and trusts, 5% came from schools and Universities and last but not least 11% came from organizations and churches. Donations are what helps to make children’s wishes come true.
