Celebrate 30 Years of Wishes With Make-A-Wish Alaska And Washington

February 26, 2016

Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington’s annual Wish Night Gala & Auction: Flights of Fancy will be an especially magical event this year. Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington is celebrating its 30th anniversary of granting the wishes of local children, but the real magic of the 2016 Wish Night is its focus on raising funds to grant 400 wishes this year. You can help the Wish Night Gala & Auction achieve its goal through contributions and donations to the event. With your support, Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington can provide more life-changing experiences to children battling life-threating medical conditions and their families.

A Night Of Wishes Past And Future

Wish Night Gala and Auction: Flights of Fancy will be held at the Westin Seattle in their Grand Ballroom from 5:30 to 11pm. Over 1,000 guests will join Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington in celebrating 30 Years of Wishes granted to more than 5,900 children. It promises to be an evening full of inspiration, optimism, and entertainment. Guests will be moved by one-of-a-kind wish stories to honor the chapter’s past while motivating its future dream of a world where every eligible child receives their wish.

The 2016 Wish Night Gala and Auction: Flights of Fancy has sold out, but you can still participate in this 30th anniversary celebration by contributing to its efforts to raise more than $1.6 million dollars during the event.

Donate To The Silent And Almost Live Auction

Throughout Wish Night, guests will be able to participate in the Silent and Almost Live Auction by using BidPal, a smartphone app that enables bidders to browse items from any location during the event until the auctions close. Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington is asking that people who cannot attend contribute to the Silent and Almost Live Auction by donating unique or valuable items for the auction. If you have something that you would like to donate, you can download Auction Procurement Forms available on the Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington website. You can also contact Hillary Norris at 206-623-5373.

While individual tickets are no longer for sale, you can still become and event sponsor. The levels of sponsorship available include Wish Granter Sponsor ($5,000), Wish Visionary Sponsor ($10,000), Wish Creator Sponsor ($15,000), Wish Champion Sponsor ($25,000), and Presenting Sponsor ($50,000). Help Wishes Come True

Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington has sought to improve the lives of local children battling life-threating medical conditions through granting wishes that provide them with life memories of hope, strength, and joy. After 30 years of efforts to grant as many wishes as funding makes possible, 1 out of 4 eligible children still go without getting their wish granted. The 2016 Wish Night Gala & Auction is vital to Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington and the 400 wishes they seek to grant this year. Attendance is just a piece of the fundraising puzzle. You can still support the efforts of local wish-giving through financial contributions and donations of items for the Wish Night Gala & Auction.
