Golf Or Sip Cocktails For Make-A-Wish Oregon This Summer

May 28, 2016

Make-A-Wish Oregon has two events coming up this June that you won't want to miss. The Summer Wishes Cocktail Party is June 4 and the Jebner's Wish Golf Tournament is the following weekend on June 11. Both events give you the perfect opportunity to get out and help make wishes happen!

Summer Wishes Party

On June 4, you can join Make-A-Wish Oregon at MotoCorsa (2170 NW Wilson St.) in Portland for the premier party of the summer. The event, hosted by the Make-A-Wish Emerging Leaders board, starts at 7 p.m. and goes until 11. The cocktail party will feature drinks, delicious food, music and dancing. Guests can also enjoy mingling in the Widmer Brothers Beer Garden, bidding on great silent auction items and taking part in a raffle.

What makes this event extra special is that the DJ is 15-year-old Wish Kid Diego, who's joining the event all the way from Las Vegas to share his talents. DJ Diego used his wish to receive his own DJ equipment. See firsthand how important Diego's wish is by attending the Summer Wishes Party!

Tickets are still available for $50 each. Tickets may also be available at the door the night of the event. Purchase your ticket today, and the proceeds will help Make-A-Wish Oregon grant more wishes in 2016. Event sponsorships are available as well for those who would like to support the event even more. Contact Ashley Schmidt for more event details or sponsorship information.

Jebner's Wish Golf Tournament

If golf is more your thing, register for the Jebner's Wish Golf Tournament that's taking place June 11. The tournament takes place at the Heron Lakes Golf Course (3500 N Victory Blvd.) starting at 12:30 p.m. Dinner and an auction will follow, starting at 6 p.m.

This tournament memorializes Jeremy Ebner (nicknamed Jebner), who found strength during his battle with leukemia by planning to help children with critical illnesses. After his passing, his friends and family organized the Jebner's Wish Golf Tournament to make his goal a reality.  In its first three years, the tournament has raised more than $45,000, helping to grant nine local wishes. You can help the event raise even more this year when you register or purchase dinner tickets!

Several different ticket and sponsorship options are available. At $750, a foursome includes golf for four, as well as admittance to the dinner, your company name and logo on the tee box signage, and recognition at the event and on the event website. Single golfers can register for $150 each, and enjoy a round of 18 holes, dinner and the auction. For $500, companies can sponsor a table, which includes dinner tickets for eight guests, your company logo on the table, and recognition at the event and on the website. The last option is a single dinner and auction ticket for $55.
