Help Create A Season Of Wishes
Make A Wish Wisconsin’s Season of Wishes campaign is giving you the opportunity to give back to your community and help to grant the wishes of children right here in Wisconsin. Whether you decide to donate a car to Wheels For Wishes, participate in Wishes in Flight Air Mile Challenge, donate with the Friends & Family Donation Campaign, or donate to the Make-A-Wish Toy Drive, you can help make a huge difference in the life of a child.
Donate A Car To Grant Wishes This Season
The Season of Wishes is a time of giving and making as many children’s wishes come true as possible. Make-A-Wish Wisconsin is working hard to make this happen, but they need your help!
There are several different ways that you can help make a child’s wish come true during the holiday season. The first thing you can do is donate an old vehicle to Wheels For Wishes. When you donate an old vehicle to Wheels For Wishes, 100% of the earned net proceeds from recycling or auctioning your car will benefit Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. You can turn your old car into a wish come true for a local child during the Season of Wishes campaign.
Donate Airline Miles
If you don’t have a car to donate, then consider donating your unused airline miles so that Make-A-Wish Wisconsin can send children to the location of their dreams. If supporters can donate 20 round-trip airline tickets through their unused airline miles before the year’s end, the Henry H. (Sr.) & Marion (Polly) S. Uihlein Foundation will match them! That means there will be 40 airline tickets total and Make-A-Wish can send Wish Kids on their dream vacations!
When you donate airline miles, you can actually say that you helped send a child on their dream vacation. To donate your miles, please visit wisconsin.wish.org/miles.
Pitch In A Toy To Keep The Wish Closet Full
A simple and beneficial way to help out during the Season of Wishes is to buy a new, unwrapped toy, and donate it to the Make-A-Wish Toy Drive.
When you give to the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin’s Wish Closet, you are helping a child receive a gift during the process of having their wish granted. Gifts help break the ice and get the family excited about their child’s wish in the making! Choose an item from the “2012 Wish Closet Wish List” which includes the following:
- Disney-related toys, games & movies
- Sports-related merchandise & memorabilia
- Gift cards (Best Buy, iTunes, Walmart, Bath & Body Works, movie theaters, Target, McDonald’s, Culvers)
- Travel Supplies
- Car Care Supplies
- Consumer Electronics
- Miscellaneous items (crayons, coloring books, etc.)
Find the complete “Wish Closet Wish List” at https://www.seasonofwishes.net/
To donate a toy, simply drop it off at a location closest to you. Options include Don Miller Subaru, Panera Bread, or PriceWaterhouseCoopers. For more information on the Make-A-Wish Toy Drives, please visit https://www.seasonofwishes.net/
Create Your Own Donation Page
You can help get the word out and share your donation efforts with your friends, family, and co-workers, by registering for your own Friends and Family fundraising page. You will be able to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, and not only will you feel great about it during the Season of Wishes campaign, but all year long.
Purchase Make-A-Wish Holiday Cards and Ornaments
Another way to help Make-A-Wish Wisconsin during the Season of Wishes is to purchase Make-A-Wish Holiday Cards and Ornaments.
When you purchase holiday cards, you will receive a set of 25, 5” x 7” cards with envelopes, and overstock cards from previous years are also available at a discounted rate. Plus, when you mail out your Make-A-Wish holiday cards, you will warm the hearts of everybody you send them to!
