Walk For Wishes Helps Benefit San Diego Kids
What’s better than a long walk on a beautiful San Diego morning? When you get to help kids with a dream in the process!
Make-A-Wish San Diego’s Walk For Wishes takes place on Saturday, April 27, at Embarcadero Marina South. All of the proceeds from the walks will benefit Make-A-Wish San Diego, and the money raised will help pay for the wishes of children with critical illnesses.
Make A Difference In Your Community
Participating in the 2.5-mile Walk For Wishes allows you to personally make a difference in the community in which you live. Registration is $27 for everyone over age 13, and $17 for those under 13. Day-of registration is available, and will cost $30 or $20.
Team Captains are invited to pick up t-shirts and bib numbers for their team members before event day – Wednesday, April 24, 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 2440 Hotel Circle N. Suite 200, in San Diego.
If you’re on a team you will get your bib number and t-shirt from your team captain unless otherwise notified. If you’re not on a team, your bib number and T-shirt pickup will begin at 8 a.m. on the morning of the event in the T-Shirt pick-up area at South Embarcadero Marina Park (near the walk start/finish line). Be sure to wear your bib number on the front of your T-shirt or shorts and make sure it is clearly visible at all times.
The walk begins at 9. Following the walk, there will be music, snacks and games for the participants.
Register Online Today
Walkers can register online as teams or individuals. If you can’t attend, you can make a general donation to support the even. When you Walk for Wishes, you will feel great about bringing joy and hope to a local child. Wish Kids also attend and they will get so much joy from seeing how many caring, supportive people are there walking for them!
If you can’t make the walk, you can still contribute by making a vehicle donation to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish San Diego. Both are great ways to help grant the wish of a local child in your community.
