Four Great Opportunities To Help Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana
Since 1983, Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana has granted over 12,000 wishes! As August kicks off, there are several fun ways for you to help them continue granting wishes this year. The 20th Annual Kelleys Island Swim on Aug. 3 and the 48th Annual National Tractor Pull from Aug. 15-17 are two exciting events that you can attend to support Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
If you can’t make it to those events but are still looking for a way to help grant wishes, there are lots of other opportunities for you to do so. With the fall semester starting up soon, why not think about becoming a Wishmaker on Campus to bring together your friends, team, or student organization for a fundraising event supporting Make-A-Wish? Another great opportunity to help Make-A-Wish is to consider donating your car, truck, boat, or RV to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. These are just a few of the great opportunities for you to help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses.

On Aug. 3 come out to the Portside Marina in Kelleys Island, Ohio (114 W Lakeshore Drive) to support two swimmers – Jeni Hammond and Cindra Mielke – as they brave Lake Erie to raise money for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. They are expected to return to the Portside Marina between 11:30 a.m. and noon, where you can join them for a celebration! You can bring the whole family to cheer them on.
The 48th Annual National Tractor Pull
From Aug. 15-17 in Bowling Green Ohio, come to the Wood County Fair Grounds (13800 W Poe Road) for an exciting weekend of tractor pulls. Each year this event brings together the community for the excitement of the championship and the joy of granting wishes.
