Make-A-Wish Illinois has granted more than 12,000 wishes as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. However, one family was so touched by the wish that their child received, they decided to give. This year marks the 13th annual Southern Illinois Chicken & Beer Dance.
This year’s event is Saturday, March 7, from 6-11 p.m., in O’Fallon at the Tuscany Grand Ballroom at the Regency Conference Center. Mark your calendar and join in for a fun-filled evening as we raise funds to help make wishes come true for children battling critical illnesses. The goal is to raise enough money for Make-A-Wish Illinois to support three wishes from the net proceeds of this year’s event.
The Southern Illinois Chicken & Beer Dance was started in 2003 by a wish family who wanted to give back to Make-A-Wish after a family member was granted a wish and they experienced first-hand the positive impact a wish can have on the wish child and their family. The wish family, along with a group of volunteers, came together to form the Southern Illinois Chicken and Beer Dance Committee. You can buy your tickets at the event’s website for $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Online ticket sales are open until March 2. If you register by midnight Feb. 14, you’ll be entered in an early bird drawing to win a $100 Visa Gift Card.
If you are interested in sponsoring the event, there are several options available for you such as Diamond Sponsorship for $1,000, Platinum Sponsorship for $500, Gold Sponsorship for $250 and Silver Sponsorship for $125.
