Six Fun September Events To Benefit Your Local Make-A-Wish Chapter
If you live in areas like New York, Arizona, South Dakota, Colorado, or Wyoming, there are six fun events near you this September that also benefit your local Make-A-Wish Chapter. What could be better than enjoying a sunny September day taking part in a variety of fun activities, while also benefiting your local Make-A-Wish? Earned proceeds from each event benefits Make-A-Wish Metro and Western New York, Make-A-Wish South Dakota, Make-A-Wish Colorado, Make-A-Wish Arizona, and Make-A-Wish Wyoming.
Walk Or Golf To Benefit Metro And Western New York Kids
Whether you’re into golfing, walking, or running, Make-A-Wish has something for everyone this September. Take part in the Make-A-Wish Walk For Wishes event on Sept. 13 in Nassau at Eisenhower Park, or participate in the Making Wishes A Reality Golf Tournament on Sept. 21 at Brook-Lea Country Club in Rochester (891 Pixley Road). Both events provide an afternoon of fun and help to make wishes come true.
To register for the Eisenhower Park Walk For Wishes, please visit the event website. Fundraising for Make-A-Wish Metro and Western New York is strongly encouraged, and donations or sponsorships are also welcome. Check out some ideas for fundraising here.
To learn more about the Making Wishes A Reality Golf Tournament on Sept. 21, please contact Micah Denering at (585) 325-1290. Registration is $200 per golfer or $800 per foursome. $75 of each ticket sold will benefit Make-A-Wish Western New York.
Midwest Class Racers Supports Make-A-Wish South Dakota Sept. 19
If you live in South Dakota, you won’t want to miss the Race For Wishes event. Race For Wishes takes place at Thunder Valley Dragways (27417 Thunder Valley Ave) near Marion. The event starts at 2 p.m. and lasts until 9. If you’ve got a car you’d like to enter, you can! Find all of the rules for participating here.
One of the many draws of class racing is that it features souped up versions of cars that the average person can get their hands on. Rather than top-of-the-line supercars that only a few people can afford, class racing cars are much easier to come by for anyone who wants to start racing.
Fans of stock and super stock racing will not want to miss the Midwest Class Racers event rolling through the Sioux Falls area. As part of the summer tour, Midwest Class Racers will be hosting their second annual Race For Wishes event to benefit Make-A-Wish South Dakota on Sept. 19.
The event will include a stock and super stock drag race. There will also be a parade lap to celebrate the local Wish Kids and families who attend. Everyone in the community is invited to join Race For Wishes event and help make it a success for Make-A-Wish. For more race information, contact Dan Wiese at 507-920-6135 or email@example.com.
