Are you a runner, truck enthusiast or biker looking for a fun way to help grant wishes this spring? Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia has got you covered with three great events. The 6th Annual Convoy Kickoff and Motorcycle Run is May 2, and the Pittsburgh Marathon and the 14th Annual Truck Convoy For Wishes are on May 3. Don’t forget to check out our blog post on the Jerry Gordon Memorial Golf Tournament on May 1 as well!

6th Annual Convoy Kickoff And Motorcycle Run

If you’re in the Gettysburg area May 2, don’t miss the Truck Convoy Kickoff and Motorcycle Run. The event takes place at the Battlefield Harley-Davidson (21 Calvary Road, Gettysburg) with registration at 9 a.m. and the ride starting at 11. Not only is the ride a great way to have fun, it’s also a memorial to Wish Kid Amy who had her wish to go to Hawaii granted in 2008. Come celebrate her and all the wish kids who have had their wish come true through the great work that Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia does! The cost to ride is just $20 per motorcycle, and all of it goes to Make-A-Wish in honor of Wish Kid Amy.

14th Annual Truck Convoy For Wishes

After you get geared up at the Motorcycle Run, come back to the Battlefield Harley-Davidson May 3 for the 14th Annual Truck Convoy For Wishes. This event has had great success in its first 13 years – raising $719,000 overall – and you can help this year’s event be an even greater success by registering today! For $75, enter your truck to join in on the fun. Contact Sherri Keller at 717-818-9411 or to claim your spot in the convoy.

Hundreds of trucks are expected to roll through Gettysburg May 3, and you can be part of it! Truck driver registration is at 7 a.m. followed by the day’s activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the ride, the day will feature rides, games, food vendors and raffles.

The Pittsburgh Marathon

If running is more up your alley, you can run to grant wishes May 3 instead! The 2015 Pittsburgh Marathon kicks off at 7 a.m. in downtown Pittsburgh. This year, Make-A-Wish is one of the contributing charities to the marathon, and you can register now to support them! Not a runner? You can support your friends and family who may be running for Make-A-Wish by contributing to their fundraising campaign here.
