How far in advance do you have to make a reservation at one of San Francisco’s hot restaurants? Weeks? Months? Maybe you can get lucky and snag a not-so-coveted Wednesday night reservation at either 5 p.m. or 10 p.m. However, one event pulls together 50 of the top restaurants, breweries and wineries in San Francisco, and it benefits a great cause at the same time.
Wine & Wishes on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Treasure Island in San Francisco is an annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. This chapter helps grant 640 wishes per year, and more than 6,000 since 1984.
Two Ways To Experience Wine & Wishes
There are two different ways to experience Wine & Wishes. If you like a little bit of everything and love a great party, then the Gourmet Food and Wine Tasting from 6-9 p.m. is for you. The Gourmet Food and Wine Tasting offers delicious bites from a wide variety of restaurants like Trace, Farallon and Lark Creek Steak, and wines from Gundlach Bundschu, Heitz, and MacPhail Family Wines, among others. There will also be a fantastic silent auction featuring an array of wine lots, unique experiences and one-of-a-kind items. All for $150, and all to benefit Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.
Purchase a VIP ticket to the Winemaker dinner and you’ll gain entrance to the exclusive VIP reception. The VIP reception offers you access to coveted wines from Capture Wines, Papapietro Perry, Patz & Hall and Valdez Family Winery, and an amuse bouche from the evening’s nine executive chefs.
Plus, this year’s Winemaker Dinner guests will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Batkid”? and the story of how this one wish captivated a city and the world. Winemaker Dinner guests will be the first people to see the video we created that captures exclusive interviews and footage from the wish. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to bid on incredible vacations, tickets to the hottest live TV shows and other exclusive offerings.
If you’re more inclined to pace yourself and enjoy a leisurely meal with good friends, savoring each course, then the Winemaker Dinner is the way to go because it’s the ultimate Wine & Wishes experience. You start with the Gourmet Food and Wine Tasting at the iconic art deco Administration Building on Treasure Island, and then stroll next door to Winery SF for a four-course dinner created by an all-star cast of executive chefs. The Winemaker Dinner always sells out quickly because it offers an incredible dining experience paired with sommelier selected wines.
It’s the ultimate San Francisco food and wine lovers’ experience, paired with the opportunity to make more wishes like “Batkid” come true.
Another Way To Help? Donate Your Vehicle
San Francisco has top notch public transportation, so instead of paying for upkeep, parking and gas for your vehicle, consider donating it to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.
Donating is easy; either call us at 1-877-431-9474 or fill out our online donation form. Either way, our car donation program takes cars, boats (with trailer), RVs, trucks, SUVs, or motorcycles, whether running or not. Even if you can’t make Wine & Wishes, you can help make a child’s wish come true while benefiting Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.
